Anthony Borquez is the CEO of Grab, a digital entertainment company he founded in 2010 that specializes in building virtual and augmented reality experiences in addition to expanding its roots in online and mobile gaming and app development. In 2013, Borquez launched a new mobile analytics and marketing company, Flightly, which is partnered with Twitter. Borquez is also actively involved with esports and is a co-owner of Team Envy and the Dallas Fuel. Prior to founding Grab, Borquez was Founder and CEO of Blue Label Interactive, a mobile game company that was acquired by Konami in 2006. Borquez served as Vice President of Konami Digital Entertainment and was responsible for online and mobile business. Borquez also co-founded Spacient Technologies, an enterprise mobile software company that was acquired by Trimble, an industry leader in mobile GPS technology.
Borquez has been teaching at the University of Southern California since 1994 and currently teaches in the Marshall School of Business and the Viterbi School of Engineering. He received his BS, MS, MA, and doctoral degrees all from the University of Southern California.
