Introducing Sophia Hazen, a standout in our DMM community! Sophia Hazen completed her undergraduate studies at Parsons, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Cultural and Media Studies. At Parsons, she coordinated designer shows for Fashion Week, spearheaded editorial campaigns, and implemented strategic brand visibility initiatives. Here’s what she has to say about her experience during the Digital Media Management program:
What did you like about the Digital Media Management Program?
“I love that DMM focuses on all parts of digital media, exploring analytics, content strategies and creation, marketing, entrepreneurship and more. As someone who already had some knowledge of content creation and reading analytics, I was excited to expand my knowledge in media, as well as in marketing and management.”
What are your professional goals after you graduate?
“After graduation, I will continue my career as the Events Coordinator for Saie Beauty, a clean and sustainable makeup company. I am also deeply passionate about merging my professional expertise in both the fashion and healthcare industries. My primary focus will be on championing accessibility for all, ensuring that both sectors are inclusive and cater to diverse needs. I aspire to contribute to a more inclusive and equitable future, where individuals from all walks of life can enjoy the benefits of both fashion and healthcare.”
What did you develop for your Capstone?
“My Capstone project is a groundbreaking line of bras and intimates tailored for adults with diverse disabilities, inspired by my personal connection to disability care. The design includes front hook closures and Velcro fastenings for ease of dressing. An integrated search engine on our website will pair users’ level of function with suitable garments, addressing the limited availability of suitable products in the market. Our mission is to restore a sense of self-dignity for individuals facing unique challenges, fostering inclusivity in intimate apparel.”
