Brett Brewer is a digital pioneer and executive who has built, operated and sold internet media companies for most of his professional life. Currently he is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Crosscut, a venture capital firm. Brewer co-founded his first internet company, Intermix Media, in 1998. Under his leadership, Intermix helped launch several online businesses including SkillJam, Alena and Myspace before its $673 million sale to News Corporation in 2005. In his former role as President of Adknowledge, a global online advertising technology company, Brewer’s leadership helped garner annual revenues in excess of $300 million and a $148 million minority stake investment from several multinational organizations. Adknowledge was named a Red Herring Top 100 Company every year from 2006 – 2010, and Brewer now serves as the company’s Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. He has also contributed as a strategic angel investor in several technology start-ups including DocStoc, AdMarvel and Demand Media.

Brewer’s numerous speaking engagements at national and international conferences and industry events include the Goldman Sachs Technology and Internet Conference, ThinkEquity Partners Growth Conference, Montgomery Technology Conference, Venice Festival of Media, Dow Jones VentureWire, Sydney’s Social-Con and Red Herring.
