Chris Kuechenmeister is a seasoned global communications leader with nearly 30 years of experience in both corporate and agency settings. Currently serving as Vice President of Communications at the American Red Cross, Kuechenmeister oversees integrated brand communications, crisis and issues management, and organizational reputation initiatives. His work focuses on driving effective internal and external communications to enhance the visibility and impact of the organization. 

Previously, Kuechenmeister spent 16 years at PepsiCo, where he held several leadership roles including Senior Vice President of Communications. During his tenure, he led communications for PepsiCo’s North America business, including Frito-Lay and PepsiCo Beverages North America, managing brand reputation, employee engagement, and strategic communications for the company’s largest operation. He has also held leadership positions at PainePR, Hill & Knowlton, and Michelin North America, contributing to major brand-building and reputation management efforts across diverse industries. Kuechenmeister holds a BA from Michigan State University.
