
Jessica Neff is a clinical associate professor in the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, where she also serves as co-director of the MS in Communication Data Science program, an interdisciplinary joint degree offered in conjunction with the USC Viterbi School of Engineering. She also co-directs the MS in Communication Data Science Dual Degree Program with Tsinghua University. Neff has provided extensive executive education and consulting to government agencies, multinational corporations, and various technology startups in LA’s Silicon Beach.
Neff holds a PhD and MA in organizational communication from USC Annenberg and earned her BA in psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She primarily teaches in the Master of Communication Management Program, offering courses focused on research methods, strategic communication, and marketing. Prior to joining USC, Neff completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Barcelona Media Center, a think tank focused on technology and media research, and worked as a facilitator in USC’s Marshall School of Business’s Experiential Learning Center.
