
Brad Shipley teaches courses for the Master of Communications Management program at USC Annenberg focused on leadership, group communication, persuasion, and communication research methods. He collaborates with faculty colleagues to support capstone courses, and he mentors students as they develop original research papers. Shipley is committed to guiding learning experiences that are grounded in the practical application of communication theory and research. An advocate for experiential learning, he incorporates a variety of pedagogical approaches in his teaching and has designed numerous learning simulations. His work has been published in leading experiential learning journals, and he has provided training and development consulting for organizations including the United States Peace Corps, Edwards Pharmaceuticals, and Westinghouse.
Shipley earned his PhD in organizational communication from USC Annenberg. His research uses both quantitative and qualitative methods to explore organizational justice in the workplace.
